 INTERACTIVE SUPPORT - POD DESIGN

This project is a continuous from project 1. which is, we have to design an exhibition pod for the architect. we have to design how the mechanism of our pod, and the interior and exterior must be reflected by the keywords or characters of our architect.
The support- pod space is measures of 2100mm x 2100mm x 3500mm.

Progression 1
The first progression, we had to do some sketches of our ideas about the exhibition pod design.
At this first progression, I produced 4 sketches of my ideas.

In this progression 2, I had to create one mock model and the sketches. At this design, I combined some mechanism from my first progression's sketches.

Feedback : Need to add some character at the design based in my architect Bryan Cantley. 

The shape too boxy, and also need to design more in passive mode.

For the next progression, i updated the character of my exhibition pod design with some shapes at the exterior part. However the mechanism and function for each side still same with the mock model 1.

Feedback : The mechanism can be accepted, but the exterior was not reflected to the architect Bryan Cantley. Need to re-find the design based to the architect's character.

In this progression, i changed totally the design of the exhibition pod, include the mechanism.

Feedback : The design has the character of Bryan Cantley, However the mechanism so little. there was only 2 mechanism (the panel and the wheel)

need to add more mechanism, or change the design.

The next progression, i changed again the whole design. The design contains of  5 mechanism, which is the entrance, exhibition panel, exhibition hanger, and 2 extension room. in a glance, the design like a scaffolding pod.

Feedback : - The panel should be omitted due to the rigid shape

- The staircase have too long distance

- The extension room, decreased only 1 room

Pre- Final Submission

The pre-final is a continuous from the progression 5. There were 3 mechanism, whis is the antrance staircase, the exhibition hanger, and the extension room. For the mock model, i use I-beam, L-beam, N-beam, square beam for the construction, in order to get the character of Bryan Cantley.

Feedback : - Add one more mechanism for the exhibition hanger. Which is can pull-up and slide-in

- The passive mode plan, active mode plan, and elevation should give some materials

- Change the position of the active mode and passive mode

- For the 3D drawings should add more the detail and mechanism to tell story of the interactive pod

Final submission project 2

For the final of the project 2, I add the mechanism into 4 types (pull-down, pull-out, pull-up, and slide in). The materials are I- beam, L- beam, T- beam, N- beam, Square- beam for the construction. Then, i used wire mash for the floor, wall, and exhibition panel.

The concept of this exhibition pod still same with the pre-final, which is scaffolding pod design.

This exhibition pod, has one entrance from the right side, exhibition area with the extension room, and exhibition panel. People are able to observe this exhibition pod either from outside or inside.

The construction, materials, color, and pattern are able to show the character of the Bryan Cantley.
